Short answer: Tour, charter and attraction businesses take deposits months ahead and then earn most of the year in one season. Tour, charter and attraction businesses take deposits months ahead and then earn most of the year in a single season.
Most Canadian tourism businesses earn heavily from June to September, with winter operators doing the reverse. The off-season still carries insurance, storage, licences and marketing for the next year.
Revenue-based financing fits a business whose income is concentrated in a few months, because payments follow the season. A short advance timed to the opening weeks works when the need is specific.
A guided tour company depositing about $70,000 a month asks for $30,000 for a second boat ahead of the season. At a 1.26 factor the payback is $37,800, a cost of $7,800. Over roughly 6 months that is about $300 per business day, or close to 9% of monthly deposits.

In the weeks before opening, a tour company pays for fuel, insurance, staff training and marketing with almost nothing coming in except booking deposits. By July the account fills quickly, and by October it is drawing down again. A reviewer reads that curve and sizes the request so the payments fall mainly in the months when tours are running.
Many operators sell through provincial tourism marketing programs and online agencies that pay out after the trip. Statement timing can therefore lag the actual season by a few weeks, which is worth pointing out when you apply.
Having one-line answers ready, with the statements, is usually enough to move a file from questions to a decision.
