A well-repaid advance is the best evidence for better terms next time. Here is how to make the renewal conversation easy.
✓ Checking what you qualify for does not affect your credit score.
Short answer: Know your remaining balance, how much you have repaid and your payment record, then decide whether a new need really exists. Send recent statements showing growth, compare the net cash with the new total payback and negotiate on evidence. A clean record of on-time payments is the strongest case for better terms.

A well-repaid advance is the best evidence for better terms next time. Here is how to make the renewal conversation easy.
Find your remaining balance, how much you have repaid and your payment history. A clean record of on-time payments is the core of the case.
If you have had missed payments, know when and why. A short explanation of a resolved issue is better than surprise.
A renewal is not automatic or obligatory. Ask whether the original need was met and whether a new need exists. Renewing to cover the remaining payments only extends the cost.
If the business is stronger now, it may qualify for cheaper money elsewhere.
Send recent statements showing deposits since the original advance. Growth in deposits supports a larger or cheaper offer.
Note any changes: new location, new contracts or new staff.
A renewal often pays off the remaining balance and adds new cash. Compare the net new money you receive with the new total payback.
If the new money is small relative to the new payback, the renewal may cost more than it is worth.
Your repayment record is leverage. Ask whether terms can improve given the history. Better factors, longer terms or lower payments are all reasonable to ask for.
Get any revised offer in writing and compare it with at least one alternative.
Start the renewal conversation when you have repaid a meaningful share, often around half, and have several months of clean payment history. Renewing too early means paying again on money you have barely used. Renewing because a payment is difficult is a different conversation; in that case, talk about adjustments rather than new money.
