Illustrative arithmetic only. This is not an offer or a quote; real terms depend on your file and the funder.
A monthly average says a payment uses, say, 9% of revenue. What it does not say is that daily debits come out five times in a five-business-day week while sales arrive unevenly, that a month has four or five Fridays, or that rent and payroll can land in the same week as a slow patch.
This calculator walks forward one week at a time from the start date. Each week it adds your sales deposits, subtracts existing debits (daily ones counted on business days only), the proposed payment and your fixed costs, and carries the balance forward. Weeks 5 to 8 run at the reduced sales level you choose, so you see what a slow month does to the account before it happens.
Underwriters read sales deposits, not every credit to the account. Transfers from your other accounts, loan or advance proceeds and money you put in yourself are backed out. The calculator subtracts the amount you enter so the test uses the same base a reviewer would. If you are not sure which deposits count, read what deposits count as revenue.
A business with $18,000 of weekly deposits, $1,500 of which are transfers, has $16,500 of sales a week. Fixed costs are $13,000 a week and an existing loan takes $450 weekly. A proposed advance would debit $230 every business day, or $1,150 in a five-day week.
| Sales | Existing | New | Fixed | Net for the week | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Normal week | $16,500 | $450 | $1,150 | $13,000 | +$1,900 |
| Slow week (sales down 20%) | $13,200 | $450 | $1,150 | $13,000 | -$1,400 |
Starting with $12,000 in the account, the four normal weeks add about $7,600 and the four slow weeks take about $5,600 back out, so the balance stays positive. If the slow month came first instead, a business starting with $4,000 would be below zero by its third slow week. Same payment, same business; the timing and the cushion decide it.
All figures in worked examples are illustrations of the arithmetic, not offers or quotes. Real terms depend on your file and the funder.
For a single ratio view, the cash flow coverage calculator shows coverage before and after the new payment. When the numbers work, check what you qualify for without affecting your credit.
No. Daily debits are counted Monday to Friday. In a week with a bank holiday, many agreements debit the missed day the next business day, so the weekly total is usually the same.
Weekly averages of payroll, rent, supplier payments, utilities and other bills that do not move with sales. Leave debt payments out, they have their own fields.
So the test always includes one bad month a few weeks after funding. Change the percentage to match your real slowest month, or set it to 0 for no stress.
It follows the same idea: sales deposits, existing debits and balances read from your statements. A reviewer reads the actual statements rather than averages you enter.
Same-day decision. Applying takes a few minutes and will not affect your credit score.
