Factoring Reserve

The portion of an invoice a factor holds back until your customer pays.

✓ Checking what you qualify for does not affect your credit score.

What it means

As explained by Merchant Fund Express: The portion of an invoice a factor holds back until your customer pays.

If an advance is 80%, a 20% reserve is held. The reserve is released, less fees, when the invoice is paid.

Why it matters when you apply

Reserve is not lost money, but it is not available cash. Include it when planning.
