Fast Funding Options for Existing Franchise Owners

Speed is mostly decided before you apply. Here is what moves the clock, what stops it, and how a decision differs from money in the account.

✓ Merchant Fund Express starts with a soft credit pull. Terms depend on your business's revenue and history.

The short answer

Merchant Fund Express gives a same-day decision on a complete file, and funding often follows the next business day. The clock starts when every statement, entity detail and payment list is in, not when the form is opened. Working capital and revenue-based financing usually move fastest; equipment and remodel requests wait on a quote or bid.

What actually decides how fast franchise funding arrives?

FactorSpeeds it upSlows it down
Complete file at submissionStarts the same-day decision clockMissing month or a late second entity
Product chosenWorking capital and revenue-based financing need the fewest documentsEquipment needs a vendor quote; a remodel needs a bid
Entity structureOne entity, one account reads quicklySeveral entities each need statements
Existing positionsListed up front, counted onceDiscovered on statements, then questioned
AmountBelow $250,000, no full financials typicallyAbove $250,000, full financials usually requested
CalendarSigned early on a business daySigned late Friday or before a bank holiday

What is the complete-file clock?

The same-day decision applies to a complete file. A file is complete when it includes the last 3 months of business bank statements as bank PDFs, the entity and owner details, the brand name, and every current advance or loan with its payment. The application itself takes about five minutes and starts with a soft credit pull. Use the documents checklist to assemble the pack before you start. A reviewer who has to ask for one more month or one more account stops the clock until it arrives.

All statements cover the same months and the full month
Entity name matches the bank account exactly
Every existing payment is listed, including weekly or daily debits
Equipment and remodel requests include the quote or bid at submission
Multi-unit owners upload every entity at once

How is a decision different from disbursement?

  1. Decision: the reviewer reads deposits, royalties and existing payments and returns an answer with terms. On a complete file this happens the same day.
  2. Contract: you review the terms and sign. Questions here add time you control. Read the payment amount and frequency against your royalty and payroll dates before signing.
  3. Final checks: details such as the account to fund are confirmed.
  4. Disbursement: funds are sent; funding often lands the next business day. Bank cutoffs, weekends and holidays move this date, not the decision.

Treating these as separate steps avoids a common mismatch: payroll due Friday needs a decision earlier in the week. The sitewide funding timeline has more detail.

What does a dated timeline look like?

Example: a two-unit owner with one entity applies on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., with all statements and the payment list uploaded. Merchant Fund Express returns a decision Tuesday afternoon. The owner signs Tuesday evening. Funding arrives Wednesday, November 4, the next business day, ahead of Friday's payroll.

Same owner, incomplete file: the October statement for the second account is missing on Tuesday and arrives Thursday morning. The decision comes Thursday, funding often Friday, and payroll is at risk. Nothing about the owner changed; only the file did. Two days were lost to one missing PDF, which is why the documents page asks multi-unit owners to upload every entity together.

Figures in this example are illustrations of the arithmetic, not an offer, quote or approval. Real terms depend on the file and the funder.

Which franchise needs fit a fast request?

Does speed change the requirements?

No. A fast request is read against the same published tiers: 6+ months and FICO 600+ for revenue-based financing, 3+ years and FICO 650+ for the line of credit and term loan. Scores from 500 are considered. What speed rewards is preparation, not a lower bar. An owner who checks negative days, NSFs and deposit count against the tier before applying avoids a decision that comes back with a smaller amount or a different product than expected. Existing positions are counted the same way, and a new structure can lower the total payment.

Merchant Fund Express does not promise money within a set number of hours. The requirements page lists every threshold.

Common questions

How fast can a franchise owner get funded?

Merchant Fund Express gives a same-day decision on a complete file, and funding often follows the next business day.

When does the same-day clock start?

When the file is complete: three months of bank PDFs, entity and owner details, the brand name and every current payment.

Why did my funding land later than my decision?

Disbursement depends on signing time, bank cutoffs, weekends and holidays. The decision and the money are separate steps.

Is equipment financing slower?

It waits on a vendor quote. Send the quote with the statements and the file is complete from the start.

Do multi-unit owners get slower answers?

Only if entities arrive separately. Upload statements for every entity at once and the review proceeds as one file.
