Platform first: you must be a Square seller. Offers appear for eligible accounts; there is no open application for non-Square businesses.
Sales history second: reported eligibility starts around $10,000 in annual Square sales, with time using Square also considered. Consistent processing matters more than one strong month.
Credit: no published score minimum, because Square underwrites mostly on its own sales data.
Amount: reported offers run from $100 to $500K and scale with your Square volume.
Repayment: a fixed percentage of daily card sales, which means a large loan relative to your Square volume can take longer to repay and keep a share of each day’s sales committed.
If you just started processing on Square, you may need to build history before an offer appears.
Illustrative self-check: a bakery processing about $2,500 a month through Square for a year has around $30,000 in annual Square sales, comfortably above the roughly $10,000 reported starting point. A pop-up vendor processing $600 a month is near the threshold and may see small offers or none.
Things that can reduce or delay an offer: sharp drops in Square volume, moving sales to another processor, high refund or chargeback activity, or an existing Square loan still being repaid.
Sellers waiting on an offer can keep processing consistently through Square and check the loans section of their dashboard periodically.
Owners without an offer, or whose Square volume is a small part of revenue, can compare providers that review total bank deposits. Merchant Fund Express publishes a 500 credit minimum and offers MCAs, lines of credit, second position funding and buyouts.
