Shopify Capital requirements
Shopify Capital requirements per Shopify’s Capital page, checked October 2026: selling on Shopify 90+ days, offers based on store sales, no credit check, select merchants only.
Shopify invites merchants rather than taking open applications, so “requirements” really describe who tends to receive offers.

If no offer appears, building steady sales history on Shopify is the main lever.
Why Shopify uses invitations instead of a credit floor: Shopify already sees your order history, refunds, seasonality and growth inside the platform, so it can size an offer without asking for bank statements or pulling credit. The trade-off is control. You cannot request a specific amount or apply when you want; you wait for an offer and accept, decline or let it expire.
Illustrative self-check: a store that has sold on Shopify for eight months with fairly steady weekly orders is the kind of account Shopify describes as eligible to receive offers. A store with three strong holiday weeks and little else may see a smaller offer or none, because repayment comes from a percentage of daily store sales and thin months slow it down.
What to have ready if you compare elsewhere: three to six months of business bank statements showing all deposits, including marketplace payouts and wholesale income that never touches Shopify, plus a list of any current advances. Deposit-based funders count that revenue, which can matter for stores that sell on several channels.
Stores just past 90 days should expect smaller first offers that can grow with more sales history.
Merchants without an offer can compare deposit-based providers. Merchant Fund Express publishes a 500 credit minimum and offers MCAs, lines of credit, second position funding and buyouts.
