A 625 personal score is a moderate bar. It excludes many owners in the 500s who can qualify for revenue-based funding, but it is lower than many banks require. Owners close to 625 can sometimes cross the line by lowering card balances and disputing report errors before applying.
One year in business is a meaningful history requirement. Businesses that recently changed entity or bank account should be ready to show continuity so the full operating history counts.
$100,000 in annual revenue, about $8,300 a month on average, is a moderate revenue floor. Seasonal businesses should be prepared to explain months well below or above the average.
Term loans run from $5,000 to $400,000 and lines of credit from $6,000 to $200,000. Within those ranges, the offer you receive will reflect revenue, credit and existing debt.
Expect to provide business bank statements, business and owner details and possibly tax information for larger amounts; ask OnDeck for the exact list for your request.
If you meet the minimums but carry several other obligations, your offer may be smaller than expected, because lenders size payments against all existing debt.
Illustrative self-check: $100,000 annual revenue is about $8,300 a month; a business depositing $7,000 a month falls short.
OnDeck applicants should confirm whether the requested amount fits the term loan or line range before applying.
If your score is below 625, your business is under a year old or your revenue is below $100,000 a year, revenue-based providers and marketplaces with lower minimums are the practical alternatives. Merchant Fund Express starts at a 500 credit score and matches one application with multiple funders.
