A $5,000 monthly revenue floor is lower than many revenue-based providers publish. That makes McKenzie potentially reachable for very small businesses, but offers at that revenue level are usually small, because the payment must fit a modest deposit base.
Three months of operating history is a short track record. Businesses near that threshold should make sure each of the three months shows consistent deposits rather than one large deposit, since consistency is what underwriters rely on with short histories.
Without a published credit minimum, you will not know how your score is weighed until you apply. Ask whether a soft pull is used first, and whether the score affects the amount or pricing.
The state exclusion is a hard stop: businesses in New York or California will need other options.
If you meet the minimums, prepare a clean file before applying: three or more months of complete bank statement PDFs, a government ID for each owner, your business details and a list of any current advances with balances and payments. Clean, complete files are reviewed faster and tend to receive better offers than files that need follow-up.
If your business is in an excluded state, or you want to see more than one offer, a marketplace application lets several funders with different criteria review your file at once. Merchant Fund Express starts at a 500 credit score and serves all 50 states.
Whatever you choose, prepare complete bank statements, owner ID and a list of any existing advances so the review moves quickly.
