Both run the same kitchen workflow. The difference is how many tickets your line can read at a glance and how much wall space you have.
A kitchen display replaces paper tickets with a live, color-coded order board. The 24-inch model is built for busy lines that need to see many orders at once; the 14-inch model is built for smaller kitchens, trucks and secondary stations.
Size matters because the board is only useful if cooks can read it from where they stand. A tiny screen in a big kitchen gets ignored, and an oversized screen in a tiny space gets in the way.
You run a long line, many tickets at once or a pass that several cooks read from a distance.
You work in a truck, a small counter-service kitchen or add a station for bar, expo or prep.
A large display at the pass and smaller ones at stations is common in bigger kitchens.
Both support wall and counter options; plan the sightline before you drill.
| Need | 14" | 24" |
|---|---|---|
| Small kitchen or truck | Best | Often too large |
| Long line, many tickets | May feel tight | Best |
| Secondary station | Best | Optional |
| Heat-tolerant build | Yes | Yes |
A food truck mounts a 14-inch display above the window, where cooks read it with one glance. A sit-down restaurant with a long grill line runs a 24-inch display at the pass and a 14-inch display at the fry station.
A device or pricing decision looks bigger on paper than it is in practice. Most owners are well served by choosing for their busiest ten minutes, keeping the first setup simple and adding pieces as volume proves the need.
