Tacos are ordered by count and filling. Buttons for each protein, salsa and extras, plus a quantity pad, let a cashier ring "three al pastor, one carne asada, extra lime" without hunting through menus.
This is a cash-and-card business with a lot of walk-up cash, quick taps and tip prompts that customers often use. Cash is recorded in the system so end-of-night counts reconcile.
Bilingual crews are common, and a handheld with large buttons works in both languages when item names are set up the way your team says them.
Windowed counter with a small shelf: a Flex fits on a lanyard stand, the printer gives a paper ticket for the grill, and a card reader with cellular avoids hunting for a hotspot at each lot.

Do not build a different button for every salsa. Use modifiers so the menu stays short enough to ring in the dark at midnight.
